Forever Friends....

With all that is going on this week, I was able to take time out today to spend some time with a very special friend.. She is my "Forever Friend" We have been friends since 1984. Well, "Jo" invited me to her home this morning for breakfast.....WOW...it was amazing....she is an amazing cook anyway, but this was really great.... I felt really special too. She had the table set with her best dinnerware; the candles were lit and her home was all decorated for Christmas.... We had a special time together to just "be friends".
Every one needs to have a special friendship....it's just so comforting to know that there is actually a person who knows all those "secrets of the heart" and even the "not so nice stuff" and it's still a safe place to be because there is no condemnation or judgment.
It reminds me of the relationship that God desires with each of us.....no condemnation....I can just be "myself" and know that I am loved, "regardless"......
A special "Thank You" to my Jo...thank you for being that kind of friend to me......and I thank God that all those years ago, our paths not only crossed, but that we are now traveling the same path "together".....
